Attorney at law Edo Kavalič is the founder of the law firm with many years of experience in the field of commercial and civil law.
In his work, he counsels foreign and Slovenian companies, especially in the field of commercial law, competition law, insolvency proceedings and labour law.
His experiences in the legal profession encompass a broad spectrum of issues faced by companies on the market. He is especially active in the field of regulation of distribution relations, including direct sale relations, counselling on and regulation of corporative relations in acquisitions and mergers, and negotiation between social partners. He provides active counsel also in the field of new technologies and intellectual property law, including initial coin offers (ICO) and blockchain technologies.
As an experienced defence counsel, he has counselled and represented financial institutions in insolvency procedures, led clients in litigations in the field of damage liability of the management and other litigation and arbitration proceedings before the civil court, the labour court and the ICC.
In his work as a lawyer, Edo Kavalič is active also on foreign markets, cooperating with a number of leading legal experts from abroad, especially in the field of compensation and labour law, blockchain technology and direct sales.

Attorney at law Michael Rotter joined the law firm Kavalič in 2019. With his arrival, the law firm has expended its area of expertise introducing representation in criminal and misdemeanour proceedings. In his work, Michael Rotter offers his counsel primarily in criminal, commercial criminal and misdemeanour cases. As an experienced defence counsel, he represents clients before courts of law and other state authorities. He represents a wide variety of different legal entities, mostly interests of companies, financial institutions and their managements, however he does not deny his counsel even to individuals who seek assistance in criminal, misdemeanour and other penal proceedings. Michael Rotter is also a trained mediator and offers a service of family and commercial mediation. He is fluent in English, French and Croatian, he passively speaks Italian and German.
Michael Rotter graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana in 2014. In year 2015 he finished his master degree specialising in criminal law. The title of his thesis is "The effect of exclusion of evidence in Slovenian legal practice". After graduating he was employed as a judicial trainee by the Court of Second Instance in Ljubljana. In 2016 he became a licenced mediator and in March 2018 he passed the State Bar exam. For three years he has been gaining experience also as an in-house corporate lawyer. After the Bar he continued his career as an attorney candidate in dr. Blaž Kovačič Mlinar's law office. He joined Law office Kavalič as an attorney at law in October 2019.
Graduated ‘cum laude’ with a master’s degree from the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana in September 2017. She is active in the fields of labour, civil, intellectual property, executive and insolvency law. She has been employed at our firm since October 2017. In her work, she actively uses the English, Croatian and Serbian languages and passively German.
She received her Bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Ljubljana in September of 2017. She graduated 'cum laude' with a Master’s Degree From the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana in March of 2019. The title of her thesis is “Best interests of the child in family mediation”. In December of 2017 she passed the exam of general administrative procedure and in March of 2019 she became a licenced mediator. She is active in the fields of civil law, family law, labour law and executive law. In her work she actively uses the English language and passively uses German, Croatian and Spanish language.
Tanja Rehar has finished fourth year from the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana, where she currently continues her Master studies. During Master studies she is additionally acquiring new professional competences in the fields of civil, labour, criminal law and intellectual property, in which she is also active in the office. She actively uses English and Croatian languages in her work.
